I’m Erin, and this is the way I travel.

In my wedding vows, I promised: “I vow to always plan our vacations around what we’re eating when.” And I’ve done just that for the past four years and running!

For years, I’ve also been the person friends come to for travel tips, especially food-related ones. Over the past year, I planned Japan itineraries for two friends, and I have more WhatsApp messages than I can count full of Google Maps links to favorite places in cities around the world.

Wanderineats is where I’m starting to gather all of that in one place, the restaurants worth crossing a city for, the neighborhoods I’d spend an afternoon in, the things to do, and the practical details that make a trip easier to enjoy.

Food is usually where my planning starts, but it’s never the whole story. This is a collection of places and notes that have genuinely shaped my own trips, written for friends, family, and anyone else planning a trip with an appetite for good food, local finds, and probably some very random suggestions.

No sponsored picks or rankings of “the best” anything. Just the places I loved, the details I’d want to know, and the things I’d send you if you asked where to go.

It’s the kind of travel advice I’d send to a friend, now all in one place.
